Oh, Yvonne! She is one smart cookie. Yvonne, age 6, has been a fugitive since May, when she escaped from a Bavarian farm before being slaughtered.
Her ex-owners have been trying to use her sister as a lure to get her to come back. Yvonne has been running free in the forest 50 miles Northeast of Munich. She has become a symbol to the animal loving German public. Hunters were given permission to shoot her on site, so, animal sanctuary owner, Gut Aiderbichl, has agreed to buy Yvonne for 600 Euros.
He has been doing all sorts of things to try to get Yvonne home safely. Some of which include using Ernst, the cow, because of his deep moo and manly smell. He thinks the sound my entice her to come back. Also, he has enlisted the help of a psychic who can communicate with Yvonne using telepathy. Yvonne is doing fine, but says she isn't ready to come home yet. You can read more about Yvonne at The Guardian.
